Las Estrellas de Sony Music Lucen Como Ganadores, Intérpretes y Presentadores En Premios De La Radio 2016
Gerardo Ortíz, Alfredo Olivas, Régulo Caro y Los Plebes del Rancho ganaron prestigiosos premios
LOS ÁNGELES (7 de noviembre, 2016) – Celebrando lo mejor de la música regional mexicana, la décimo séptima edición de los Premios de La Radio nos deleita con una súper producción de música, baile y escenografía. Esta ceremonia de gala fue transmitida en vivo por Estrella TV desde el Dolby Theatre en Hollywood.
Los artistas de Sony Music y sus afiliados brillaron en este magno evento, ganando premios, interpretando sus éxitos y presentando reconocimientos.
Uno de los cantantes y compositores más influyentes de la década, Gerardo Ortíz, volvió a arrasar, ganándose Solista del Año. Alfredo Olivas (Sahuaro) se hizo acreedor a dos premios; Canción Norteña/Sierreña del Año con su éxito “Todo o Nada” y Artista Juvenil del Año. Los Plebes del Rancho (Del Records) ganaron el premio de Grupo Sierreño del Año, y Régulo Caro (Del Records) triunfó con su cortometraje viral de “Cicatrices” en la categoría de Video del Año.
El programa abrió con varios artistas talentosos rindiéndole un gran homenaje a Juan Gabriel. Gerardo Ortíz, Jorge Gaxiola (Voz de Mando), Luis Coronel, Becky G y Regulo Caro estuvieron entre unos de los interpretantes del éxito “Me Gustas Mucho” y la divertida cumbia “Adorable Mentirosa.”
Estrenando su muy esperado material, Gerardo Ortíz interpretó su nueva canción “Regresa Hermosa,” recibiendo fuertes aplausos. Y al lado de La Arrolladora, cantó el tema de dicha banda, “Me Va a Pesar,” y su propio éxito “¿Por Qué Terminamos?”
Dos jóvenes cantantes de Sony Music cantaron al lado de influyentes artistas veteranos, uniendo generaciones. Luis Coronel (Empire) acompañó a Pancho Barraza, cantaron “Mi Enemigo el Amor.” Luis Coronel, vestido de charro, le volvió a dar homenaje a Juan Gabriel con el tema clásico “No Tengo Dinero.” Mientras Kevin Ortíz interpretó el clásico “Árboles de la Barranca” con El Coyote. Después, Kevin le presentó el galardón de Canción Norteña/Sierreña del Año a Alfredo Olivas.
Otros valores jóvenes se apoderaron de la noche con sus actuaciones – Adriel Favela (G 360), cantó su tema “Tomen Nota;” el cantante y acordeonista Alfredo Olivas interpretó un popurrí de sus éxitos “Y Por Lo Pronto/Todo o Nada;” y Régulo Caro cantó su canción “Cicatrices” con La Séptima Banda, al igual que su tema “Yo Sí Me Enamoré.”
Joss Favela, el cantante y compositor sinaloense, puso a la audiencia de pie con su más reciente sencillo, “No Vuelvas a Llamarme.” Luego, al lado de los cinco muchachos de CNCO, Joss Favelapresentó su éxito “Cuando Fuimos Nada” y concluyendo con el éxito “Tan Facil” de CNCO.
Durante sus múltiples interpretaciones de la noche, Becky G demostró su orgullo de ser latina y lució su versatilidad como artista. Becky G, quién pronto lanzará su primer álbum en español, destacó sus raíces mexicanas interpretando su éxito “Sola” con mariachi. Después, Becky G volvió a iluminar el escenario con el conocido tema “Estoy Enamorada” a dúo con el creador del tema, el legendario presentador de TV y radio Don Cheto. Becky G también presentó al lado de Luis Coronel. Y con el grupo pop-urbano CNCO, Becky G presentó el premio al ganador en la categoría de Revelación del Año.
Para cerrar la ceremonia, Gerardo Ortiz, Joss Favela, Luis Coronel, Becky G y otros artistas más acompañaron a los Black Eyed Peas, para el estreno del video y canción de la versión “¿Dónde Está El Amor?” (Where Is the Love) en español, mandando un mensaje de amor y unidad.

The Stars of Sony Music Dazzle Us As Award-winners, Performers and Presenters at the 2016 Premios De La Radio
Gerardo Ortíz, Alfredo Olivas, Régulo Caro and Los Plebes del Rancho won prestigious awards
LOS ANGELES (November 7, 2016) – Celebrating the best in Regional Mexican music, the 17th edition of the Premios de La Radio awards delighted us with a colorful spectacle featuring outstanding music, choreography and set design. This gala ceremony was telecast live on Estrella TV from Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.
The artists of Sony Music and its affiliated labels took center stage at this thrilling event as they won awards, performed their hits and presented trophies.
One of the most influential Regional Mexican singers and songwriters of the decade, Gerardo Ortíz, ruled again, winning Solo Artist of the Year. Alfredo Olivas (Sahuaro) won Norteño/Sierreño Song of the Year with his smash “Todo o Nada” (All or Nothing), along with Young Artist of the Year. Los Plebes del Rancho (Del Records) were victorious in Sierreño Group of the Year. Régulo Caro’s (Del Records) viral sensation “Cicatrices” took home Video of the Year.
Opening the festivities were various outstanding artists who paid tribute to the late Juan Gabriel. Gerardo Ortíz, Jorge Gaxiola (Voz de Mando), Luis Coronel, Becky G and Regulo Caro were among some of the artists who performed the hit “Me Gustas Mucho” (I Like You a Lot) and the fun, up-tempo cumbia “Adorable Mentirosa” (Adorable Liar).
Debuting his highly anticipated material, Gerardo Ortíz performed his latest hit “Regresa Hermosa” (Come Back, Lovely), earning thunderous applause. With La Arrolladora, he sang the group’s well-known song “Me Va a Pesar” (It’s Going to Weigh on Me), and his own smash hit “¿Por Qué Terminamos?” (Why Did We Break Up?)
Two young Sony Music artists joined influential veterans, bringing different generations together. Luis Coronel joined Pancho Barraza on his beloved song “Mi Enemigo el Amor” (My Enemy, Love). Luis Coronel, dressed in an authentic charro suit, performed another tribute to the legend Juan Gabriel with the classic hit, “No Tengo Dinero.” Meanwhile, Kevin Ortíz shared the stage with El Coyote to perform the classic “Árboles de la Barranca” (Trees of the Gorge) and presented the Norteño/Sierreño Song of the Year award to Alfredo Olivas.
Other rising stars received rave reviews for their performances – Adriel Favela (G 360) sang his song “Tomen Nota” (Take Note); the singer and accordion player Alfredo Olivas performed a medley of his hits “Y Por Lo Pronto/Todo o Nada” (For Now/All or Nothing); Régulo Caro sang his single “Cicatrices” (Scars) with La Séptima Banda, along with the banda’s own song “Yo Sí Me Enamoré” (I Did Fall in Love).
Joss Favela, singer-songwriter from Sinaloa, put the audience on its feet with his most recent single “No Vuelvas a Llamarme” (Don’t Call Me Again). Along with the five members of CNCO, Joss Favela presented his hit single “Cuando Fuimos Nada” (When We Were Nothing) and concluded his performance with CNCO’s song “Tan Facil” (So Easy).
During her many stellar performances of the night, Becky G showed demonstrated her pride in being Latina while showcasing her versatility as an artist. Becky G, who will soon release her first album in Spanish, displayed her Mexican roots and excelled in performing her hit “Sola” (Alone) with a Mariachi band. Then, Becky G illuminated the stage once again with the famous song “Estoy Enamorada” (I’m In Love) as a duet with its creator, the legendary TV and radio presenter Don Cheto. She also presented with Luis Coronel. Alongside the pop-urban group CNCO, Becky Gpresented the award in the category Revelation of the Year.
To close the ceremony, Gerardo Ortiz, Joss Favela, Luis Coronel, Becky G and other artists shared the stage with Black Eyed Peas for the premiere of their song and video “Donde Esta El Amor?” (Where is the Love?), sending a message of love and unity.
Viewers shared the most exciting moments of this ceremony on social media, using the hashtag #PDLR2016. Fans chose the winners through an online voting process during October.
