KANY GARCÍA llega a España con su nuevo video “A MIS AMIGOS” junto a Melendi
MIAMI (17 de octubre, 2018) – La multi- galardonada cantautora, recientemente nominada al Latin GRAMMY® 2018: Kany García llega a España con su nuevo video “A mis Amigos” junto a Melendi.
Kany, hija de padre español, conserva muy latente sus raíces españolas y lo demuestra en esta nueva canción dedicada a los amigos. En este tema Kany le canta al amor entre amigos, esos que perduran para siempre no importando la distancia.
En esta unión junto a Melendi el video muestra la simpleza de la amistad y lo conforme de sentirse el ser uno mismo cuando esta con sus amigos.

El pasado mes de septiembre Kany García recibió cuatro nominaciones a la 19a Entrega Anual del Latin GRAMMY®, quedando dentro de los más nominados por su álbum Soy Yo y su sencillo “Para Siempre“. Las categorías son: ‘Mejor Álbum del Año’, ‘Grabación del Año’, ‘Canción del Año’ y ‘Mejor Álbum Cantautor’.
Durante su semana de estreno, Soy Yo fue el álbum de mayor venta en Puerto Rico y en Estados Unidos llegó a la posición #2 en la lista “Top Latin Albums” de Billboard.
Un éxito en ventas y con la prensa especializada, en junio Soy Yo fue nombrado por la revista Billboard como uno de los “50 mejores álbumes del año”, en todos los géneros. Kany García fue la única artista mujer latina en recibir este reconocimiento. “Con su voz al frente de la mezcla, sus arreglos acústicos de lujo y su letra íntima, Soy Yo nos recuerda la profundidad que se puede encontrar en los manantiales de la música latina”. Mientras en Puerto Rico uno de los periodistas más reconocidos de la música, el Sr. Jaime Torres Torres, catalogó a Soy Yo como “el mejor disco de su carrera”.
De este álbum ya se han desprendido tres brillantes sencillos, “Para Siempre“, “Soy Yo” y “Bailemos Un Blues“. Además cuenta con colaboraciones de Residente y Melendi.
Una de las cantautoras más representativas de su generación, Kany García recientemente dio conciertos llenos totales en Colombia, Argentina y Perú.
A lo largo de sus 11 años de trayectoria, la intérprete de éxitos como “Hoy Ya Me Voy“, “Feliz” y “Duele Menos” ha obtenido tres Latin GRAMMYs® y diez nominaciones a los Latin GRAMMY®; dos Premios Billboard de la Música Latina; y un Premio ASCAP.
Por lo que resta del año, Kany García cuenta con una agenda llena de compromisos promocionales en varios países para esta producción discográfica. Por su parte Melendi continúa imparable este 2019 con su gira de conciertos que lo traerá a América en el 2019.

MIAMI (October 17, 2018) – The multi-award winning Latin GRAMMY® 2018-nominated singer-songwriter Kany García has arrived in Spain to promote her new video ”A Mis Amigos” (To My Friends), featuring the Spanish artist Melendi.
Born in Puerto Rico, Kany has a Spanish father and digs deep into her Spanish roots on this new track that’s dedicated to her friends – those who stick together in spite of the years and the miles.
The music video for “A Mis Amigos” portrays Kany García and Melendi enjoying the simple pleasures of friendship, including the ability to be oneself.
“There is no greater pleasure than talking about the blessings of life and of course friends are one of those great treasures. Being able to celebrate that gift from someone you consider a friend seems like a luxury. Melendi is a singer-songwriter with a lot of credibility, and it was pleasure to be able to sing this ode to the beautiful friendship that we profess” said Kany.
Last month, Kany García received four nominations for the upcoming 19th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards®, thanks to her latest album Soy Yo (It’s Me) and hit single “Para Siempre” (Forever). She is nominated in the following categories: “Album of the Year”, “Record of the Year”, “Song of the Year”, and “Best Singer-Songwriter Album”.
During its release week, Soy Yo was the best-selling album in Puerto Rico and debuted at #2 in the U.S. on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart.
A commercial and critical success, Soy Yo in May was named by Billboard as one of the 50 Best Albums of the Year (so far), in all genres. Kany García was the only Latina artist to receive this distinction. As the review notes: ”With the vocals at the forefront of the mix, lush acoustic arrangements and intimate lyrics, Soy Yo reminds us of the depth to be found in the well of Latin music.” In Puerto Rico, the renowned music critic Jaime Torres named Soy Yo “the best record of her career.”
This album has already produced three hit singles: “Para Siempre,” “Soy Yo” and ”Bailemos Un Blues” (Let’s Dance to the Blues). In addition to “A Mis Amigos,” the collaboration with Melendi, it also features a duet with Residente.
One of the most representative singer-songwriters of her generation, Kany García recently performed sold-out shows in Colombia, Argentina and Perú.
