// Powerhouse Italian Pop Opera Trio Il Volo Records Live Monumental Concert At The Ruins Of Pompeii!

The grandeur and history of the legendary ruins of Pompeii, the city destroyed by Mt. Vesuvius millennia ago, served as the backdrop to an extraordinary concert that Il Volo recently recorded there.
The spectacle marked the first time since 1971 that an artist (the last one was Pink Floyd) had performed at this famous site located near present-day Naples. And, in what turned out to be an unparalleled event, Il Volo sang live in front of an audience!
Sony Music will be releasing the concert as a DVD. The performance will also air on the U.S. public television network, PBS, no stranger to the talents of these three young Italian tenors.
