Han pasado doce años, desde que el legendario Julio Iglesias editara su último trabajo en su lengua materna, el español. El viernes 10 de Julio, se lanza el primer single FALLASTE CORAZÓN. Un single arrebatador que precede al nuevo disco titulado “MEXICO”. El artista latino más vendedor de la historia vuelve a rendir tributo a uno de los primeros países que le vieron crecer, como ya hizo en su primer disco “mexicano” en 1976.
Julio Iglesias llegó a México en los primeros setenta, y desde entonces se “convirtió” al país azteca. Se enamoró de México y es un gran conocedor de su cultura, historia, su música, sus costumbres. “México es un país que amo profundamente. El pueblo mexicano me ha dado muchísimos momentos imborrables en mi vida. Conozco el país como si fuera mi patria, y lo llevo siempre en mi alma” comenta el cantante mientras termina los últimos retoques en el estudio.
“MÉXICO” es el título que da vida a este proyecto que verá la luz el 25 de septiembre de 2015; El artista renueva sus lazos con un repertorio de siempre, pero llevado a su terreno y su personalísima forma de interpretar. 12 canciones con sabor mexicano, al estilo Julio Iglesias y con unos sonidos dignos del siglo XXI. Un homenaje a los grandes autores mexicanos.

It’s been 12 years since the iconic Julio Iglesias recorded an album in Spanish, his native language. On July 10th, (You Failed, Dear), the first single from his forthcoming album MEXICO. Having recorded his first tribute album to Mexico in 1976, the best-selling Latin music artist in history now once again pays homage to a country whose support was instrumental in his rise to fame.
Julio Iglesias first performed in Mexico during the early 1970s and quickly won over the world’s largest Spanish-speaking country. Julio likewise fell in love with the nation and has continually remained well-versed in Mexican culture, history, music and customs.
While putting the finishing touches on MEXICO – JULIO IGLESIAS, he noted that “Mexico is a country that I love dearly. The Mexican people have given me many indelible moments in my life. I know this country as if it was my homeland, and I always carry it in my soul.”
The full album, MEXICO, is scheduled for release on September 25th, 2015. In this album, Julio Iglesias renews his ties to Mexico with material from its Golden Age songbook, performed with his inimitable passion. An homage to Mexico’s greatest songwriters, the album will include twelve songs with distinctive Mexican flavor, Julio’s timeless interpretations and a 21st century sound.
