María Isabel is a Dominican American singer-songwriter who hails from Queens, NY. With refreshingly vulnerable lyrics that flip seamlessly from English to Spanish across her songs, María has earned acclaim from the likes of Rolling Stone, Vogue, V Magazine, Pigeons & Planes and more. Musically rooted in R&B, María can also blend easily into mainstream pop. As a lifelong poet, María bares her passions, struggles and experiences through her songs, which often begin as poems — exploring topics such as mental health, family history, her Dominican American heritage, and relationships — serving as the foundation of her development as a singer-songwriter. She’s currently working on new music with acclaimed producer El Guincho, with the album rollout set to begin this year.
