Miami, FL - Carlos Vives, the artist who magnified Colombia’s cultural heritage and opened the doors for a future generation of artists that have brought a new stream of local music and have become the new faces of Colombia around the world, PREMIERES the first single from his eagerly-awaited new album, marking his return to the international world stage after his Grammy-winning album "Rock de mi Pueblo " (2004).

"VOLVÍ A NACER" was written and produced by Carlos Vives and award-winning producer Andres Castro. Curt Schneider and Tom Coyne, who’ve worked with superstars Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Chris Brown among others, were in charge of mixing and mastering respectively. The unreleased track marks the NEW ERA VIVES and his return to the international stage as a one of the most re-known singer-songwriters in the world. In his own words: "VOLVÍ A NACER” (Born Again) sounds like what we invented and what Colombia helped me project around the world. It’s the renovation of Colombian music that continues it’s own path and doesn’t end with Carlos Vives. That feeling that our music gives away even when renewed at every opportunity; always a surprise, always an impact, always a reason to feel proud of what we have. My songs speak of love, of life, of our land”, Vives concluded.

Renewed but with the trademark sound that characterizes him, Vives steps into this NEW ERA with his unconditional band La Provincia, including Egidio Cuadrado’s on accordion and Maite’s gaita (bagpipe).

His upcoming album titled "CORAZÓN PROFUNDO" is set for release in 2013. For This new musical masterpiece, Carlos Vives composed more than 40 tracks of which only 12 will be selected for inclusion.

Following the premier of the single "VOLVÍ A NACER," Vives will travel to Mexico where he will film his new music video, which is scheduled for a worldwide premiere in mid-October. The release of his upcoming album "CORAZÓN PROFUNDO" will be supported by an international tour that will visit multiple cities in the US, Latin America and Europe.
